13M Survey / Oceanographic Vessel
Shown left are two BOBKATTM 13M WORKBOATS, the grey 'Annie B' being a Naval Oceanographic Survey vessel and the white 'Sea Lab 1' being a test platform for advanced technological equipment, for the Institute of Maritime Technology (IMT) in Simonstown Naval Base, Cape Town, South Africa.
Both these vessels are kept very busy by the South African Navy around the coastline carrying out vital surveying and oceanographic work.
They operate in severe sea conditions up to Sea State 6, and are able to continue working and remain out when other vessels have to cut short their work and put into port.
